According to the Evening Standard, Harry and Meghan will be mirroring Harry's parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, whose first first royal tour was also to Australia and New Zealand.

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will make their first official visit together to New Zealand in October, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

The newly-weds will embark on their first major global visit with a four-country tour which will also take in Fiji and Tonga.

The Paralympic-style competition takes place from October 20-27, and in Sunday's announcement, their palace office confirms the tour will happen around the time of the games.

While many thought Markle looked stunning during her first major post-honeymoon appearance, others took issue with the off-the-shoulder design of the dress, calling it "inappropriate" and "a bit much" for the queen's birthday celebration.

The Duchess of Sussex, alongside Her Majesty, will visit Chesire on the 14th of June where they will open the Storyhouse theatre, which acts as a community centre, library, and cinema.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave major relationship goals at their fairytale wedding. One Twitter user commented saying, "Can Meghan Markle for once just follow protocol and not show her shoulders or push the limits?!" But Megan acted differently by choosing a dress by Carolina Herrera, which complements the hat Philip Treacy. The Queen was given her own carriage and was the last to leave Buckingham Palace.

Meghan had previously let slip she would be visiting Australia for the first time when she attended the United Kingdom trials for the Invictus Games earlier this year with Harry.

The former Suits actress shared details of her trip on lifestyle website The Tig called "My love letter to all things Kiwi", which was deactivated early a year ago after she began dating the prince.
