Now the attention turns towards the summer, and the players who could be moving clubs ahead of the 2018-19 season.

New Arsenal coach Unai Emery faces a tough start to life at the Emirates after the Premier League fixture list handed him games against Manchester City and Chelsea.

The first five games are against Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as at Cardiff, which is their first PL home game of the season and also very likely to be chosen.

The opening Manchester derby of the season takes place at the Etihad on November 10.

A home game against Arsenal on Saturday 27 April, will be followed by a visit to Manchester City a week later before the team return to King Power Stadium to host Chelsea on the final day on Sunday 12 May.

Championship-winning Wolves have a home opener against Everton, before trips to Leicester and West Ham sandwich the visit of Manchester City to Molineux.

That game against Liverpool comes three days before matchday one of the Champions League, meaning Spurs will definitely play their group stage matches at their new home.

Jose Mourinho will take his United side to Anfield and everyone will be hoping for more excitement than last year's 0-0 draw [barring a David De Gea wonder-save] provided.

Tottenham, who will join City, United and Liverpool in the Champions League next season, begin their campaign at Newcastle for the second successive season before hosting Fulham a week later.

The redeveloped White Hart Lane will not be ready for the start of the season, so their first home game against the Cottagers will be played at the national stadium.

Two of England's biggest clubs in the world will face off against each other in the Aviva Stadium on 1 August. That hasn't, however, stopped the club preparing our pre-season plans.
