Real Madrid unconcerned as star eyes summer exit

Former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has sent a message to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo became one of the best players in the world during a six-year spell at Old Trafford before sealing a then world-record move to Madrid in the summer of 2009.

Ronaldo has remained tight-lipped regarding his future since casting doubt over his future at Madrid after the Champions League final against Liverpool on May 26 when he spoke about his time at the club in the past tense.

The AEAT is said to have finally agreed to a more lenient punishment than it had initially sought after accepting the player's explanation of how he pays tax on earnings from the image rights contained in his Real Madrid contract.

Both Ronaldo and Neymar have cut agitated figures recently and both players could move on from their respective clubs this summer.

Ronaldo reportedly knocked back a new €25million-a-year deal to stay put when Real held talks with his representatives earlier this week, even though the contract had the option to rise to €30million-a-year depending on performances.

Cristiano Ronaldo's future has once again made the headlines of Portuguese newspaper Record.

After talking about his stint as a Real player in past tense, the five-time Ballon d'Or victor gave ambiguous answers when he was asked to clarify his post-match comments later in the day.

Their World Cup-winning side of 2002 was loaded with attacking talent and captured the imagination of a global audience.

The world-record signing, at almost £200m, had a high-profile spat with Edinson Cavani over penalty taking duties, and Unai Emery found it hard to manage the big characters in the dressing room. Real Madrid doors are always open for Neymar. We won Champions and people said it was the goalkeeper's fault, poor man, had to take a defeat as his responsibility, and not of all the team, in football these things happen.

"It was an important meeting".
