Paris - Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos tweeted his best wishes to Mohamed Salah on Sunday after their collision in the Champions League final forced the Liverpool striker off and cast his World Cup in doubt.

Egypt Independent reported that Sawiris expressed disagreement with calls for Salah to break his fast on the Liverpool-Real Madrid match day.

"It was a very tough night, but I'm a fighter".

Although the Egyptian FA is confident Salah will be fit for the World Cup in Russian Federation in three week's time, a lawyer has filed a €1 billion (£873m/$1.2bn) lawsuit against Serio Ramos for his cynical actions.

The final had been hyped as a duel between Salah and Real's Cristiano Ronaldo, who patted the Egyptian on the head as he walked off the field. We lost an important player and probably Egypt lost for the World Cup an important player.

Mohamed Salah feels confident he will overcome his shoulder injury in time to play for Egypt at the World Cup.

In the aftermath of the defeath, over 150,000 people around the world signed an online petition to get Ramos punished for "intentionally" hurting Salah. Have your say in the comments section below.

Real Madrid went on to secure a 3-1 win and claim the trophy for the third season in a row.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that Salah's injury was "serious".

Speaking to Lampard on BT Sport, Salah said, 'I learnt a lot from Jose, from the club. "It doesn't look good".

Elsewhere, some Twitter users came to the conclusion Russian president Vladimir Putin somehow paid to arrange Salah's injury so the player would not be fit for Egypt's Group A clash with host nation Russia on June 19.

Petition supporters point out that Ramos intentionally injured Salah and in their opinion, he set a awful example for future generations of players.

It is believed Salah sustained shoulder ligament injuries in the tackle, and is unlikely to have fully recovered for Egypt's opening World Cup match against Uruguay next month - their first World Cup match in 28 years.
