That low-price, high-quality smartphone ended up being Motorola's best-selling smartphone in their whole history of smartphones.

The phone has dual camera setup with 12MP sensor having Dual Autofocus Pixel technology, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4um pixel size and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. As we saw with the Moto Z2 Play a year ago, the "Play" moniker no longer means "slightly cheaper with a huge battery" as much as it just means "the lowest-end model in the lineup" - and that rings true here. In typical Motorola fashion, all four devices share consistent design themes. They have the innovations that matter most to you.

The dual camera and the AI frills won't appeal to everyone, which is why Motorola put together a more practical option: the Moto G6 Play. The G6 will retail for around $249. It also comes with Android 8.0 Oreo, the dual-SIM, 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a dual rear camera (12MP+5MP), 8MP selfie shooter, dual-lens rear LED flash, selfie flash, 3200 mAh battery with TurboPower adapter and much more.

Motorola's phones aren't always the flashiest, but there sure are a lot of them. Simply tap the color on the viewfinder you want to preserve, and the G6 will artfully hone in on it.

The quality of materials Motorola is using also feels like a big step up. In the case of Smart Camera, though, everything occurs seamlessly in the camera UI. Just aim the G6 at a famous place and it will pop up information about it. Object recognition is similar but works with anything.

The Moto E5 handsets are the flashiest of the bunch. The Moto E5 Play is also powered by the Snapdragon 425 SoC in some markets and in some markets, it comes with the Snapdragon 427 SoC. Most games from the Play Store should run on the E5, but more intensive titles will likely suffer from long load times and poorer graphics. This week the Commerce Department put the hammer on ZTE, which has about 10 percent market share in the U.S., mostly in low-priced phablets.

Where the G6 Play beats, its counterpart is in battery life. The front camera is the same at 8Mp.

Starting with the Moto G6 Play, it features a 5.7-inch HD+ display.

It's a little over a year since we first clapped eyes on the G5 range Plus Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Motorola today took the wraps off its first lineup of 2018 devices known as the G6 and E5.

Arriving in the first week of May with the other G6 phones, the Moto G6 Plus will cost just £269 from Carphone Warehouse in the United Kingdom or 299 Euros.

The Moto G6 Plus, on the other hand, comes with a slightly larger 5.9-inch full HD+ display. That's for one-button navigation, and both the G6 Play and E5 Plus don't offer that, with fingerprint sensors on the rear.

Are you a Moto Z Play user from India?

What excites us most, however, is the battery.

Motorola is owned by Lenovo, a Chinese company, but product marketing manager Thomas Milner and his colleagues made it clear that design and development decisions are made at Motorola's headquarters in Chicago; it's hard out there for a Chinese phone maker right now.

You don't have to be a pricey phone to get a super-tall screen, and the Moto E5 brings such a premium-looking panel to the company's most budget-oriented family.
