Worley, 23, had two interceptions last season and has three in his two-year career.

The Eagles released a statement later Sunday confirming they "are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning".

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested early Sunday morning near team facilities after police found him passed out in a vehicle blocking a highway, according to the NFL Network. Rapoport added that "a gun was recovered at the scene".

Coming out of college at West Virginia, Worley had character concerns, in that he missed a bowl game for academic reasons, and had an off-the-field incident in which he was accused of assaulting a female. Philly.com's Les Bowen reported that Worley might not be with the team after the incident.

Police used a taser on Worley after he became combative with the officers.

Worley was acquired in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith in a trade with Carolina last month.

Officers responded to Broad and Pattison Sunday morning, where they found Worley asleep in his auto on the highway. He was traded for this offseason.
