The studio vaguely describes Warmind as sending players "to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies" along with the promise of new loot and activities.

Bungie just announced the launch of Destiny 2's second expansion, Warmind, on May 8, featuring artificial intelligence from the game's backstory.

Nothing particularly exciting for non-fans, but what is interesting is that all new multiplayer maps from Warmind and Curse Of Osiris will be available to all players whether they've bought the DLC or not.

In a news update on the official site, Destiny 2 game director Christopher Barrett said: "The team is very excited to extend the roadmap and share with you some of the big stakes we're putting in the ground".

The update will be implemented on May 8, the start of Season 3, alongside the Warmind expansion. Rest assured that once more information is revealed by Bungie on April 24th, we here at TL;DR Games will be all over it.

Bungie is promising that from Season 4 onwards, players can expect weapon randomisation, weapon slot changes, gear collections, and records. As for the name Warmind, Destiny players will remember that it refers to a network of planetary defense AIs that were referenced in the original game. These include a number of changes, such as exotic weapon masterworks, seasonal Crucible rankings and a new Seasonal Event, among other things.

You may notice that "Mods 2.0" is missing from the roadmap, but Bungie states that is due to them rolling mod changes into the new weapon randomization that is coming.

Season three will also see the release of a multi-emote system, Nightfall challenge cards, larger vault spaces, heroic strike modifiers, and more. New maps, arenas and modes will be available to all players.

In addition to the announcement of Warmind, Bungie is announcing changes to Crucible. In an ongoing move to also be more forthcoming with what exactly is going on with Destiny 2 behind the scenes, Bungie also provided more details for the current development roadmap. Are there any changes you would like to see in the future?
