A Spotify bundle with Hulu combines the two subscriptions and cuts their aggregate price.

The deal will initially be offered to Spotify's current 71 million Premium subscribers, and new subscribers to the service.

Eligible existing Spotify Premium subscribers can also take advantage of a 99-cent promotional offer today, which will enable them to try the "Hulu Limited Commercials plan" for three months as an introduction to the bundle. Your first month is the price of your Premium plan plus the Hulu 3-month trial price.

Hulu is not available in the Republic.

Spotify and Hulu have extended their partnership beyond an offer for students to bundle their music and TV streaming services in a single plan open to anyone.

As you know, Spotify Premium gives users all of the great content Spotify has to offer, without any of those pesky ads interrupting your six hour session of Call Me Maybe. Bundles like those that have existed in the linear television industry for decades are seen as a way to encourage new sign-ups in an age of dozens of subscription streaming options across entertainment and music. If your service ended anytime in the previous year, then you'll have to immediately pay the full $12.99 instead of getting the discounted trial run.

It is not possible for a regular user to subscribe to this bundle unless they are a new Hulu subscriber or the one who canceled the service in less than 12 months after subscribing.

Users on the free service get only a few song changes, a 30 minute ad free playtime, they can not play every song and are not able to download music onto their devices. "We are excited to expand our partnership to bring this combined package to all existing and new Spotify Premium subscribers". Hulu has been ramping up original programming with shows such as "The Handmaid's Tale" and "The Looming Tower" to compete with popular streaming competitors such as Netflix.

The billing goes through Spotify, so don't go looking for this deal on Hulu.
