On Wednesday, the NFL announced the league's 2018 preseason schedule, giving the Broncos a taste of exactly how their upcoming season will look. For 22 of the past 24 years, the 49ers ended their preseasons with matchups against the Chargers with both teams playing an exhibition game against each other for 31-straight years.

Knowing when the Cardinals play their first preseason game, because teams can begin training camp 15 days before then, we can surmise the Cardinals will open camp.

The NFL's expected to release the regular-season schedule later this month. Denver has played Washington just six previous times in the preseason (most recently in 2004) with the Redskins winning five of those games. They did defeat the Colts, 46-18, in Week 4 play at CenturyLink Field, however.

This will be the second time the San Francisco plays host to the Cowboys since 1987. Two Ravens' games (Bears and Colts) will appear in front of a nationally-televised audience. Week 1 games will be scheduled from Aug. 9-12, Week 2 from Aug. 16-19 and Week 3 from Aug. 23-26.

The preseason home opener will be during the weekend of August 9-13, against Chicago. The teams last met in preseason in 2010, with the Bills winning 35-20 in Buffalo.

The Vikings, who went 2-2 in the preseason previous year, went on the finish the regular season with a record of 13-3.

Shurmur and the Giants likely will work towards organization joint practices this summer, but announce them as well as the opponents at a later date.

The preseason highlight will be a Week 3 prime-time game on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. The Rams will play, for a third consecutive season, at the Coliseum, which is in the middle of a massive renovation project.

KFAN 100.3-FM, KTLK 1130-AM and the Vikings Radio Network will broadcast audio of all Vikings preseason and regular-season games.
