Bills' Richie Incognito retires because his 'liver and kidneys are shutting down'

  • Buffalo Bills offensive guard Richie Incognito who made the Pro Bowl the past three seasons is reportedly considering retirement

Incognito, who just restructured the final year of his contract with the Bills to accept a pay cut of almost $1.7 mill, will turn 35 in July and played 11 seasons in the NFL.

According to Peter King of the MMQB, the 34-year-old Incognito is "strongly considering" retirement.

"It's been a long career", the four-time Pro Bowler told the News from his home in Arizona.

In 2015, after serving a suspension for the bullying, Incognito did move to the Bills where he apparently finished out his career in the last three years. My liver and kidneys are shutting down.

Incognito was suspended midway through the 2013 season and never played a down for the Dolphins again.

Bills' running back LeSean McCoy is trying to entice Incognito to change his mind about retirement. Over a 12-year career, the Buffalo Bills guard came to be regarded as one of the league's best run-blockers, but he was also frequently criticized for his behavior and spent a season and a half out of the NFL for his role in bullying a teammate.

"It pisses me the eff off", Incognito told Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News. It's just about doing what's right.

This comes just days after Incognito made national sports news by firing his agent on twitter and just a few weeks before the 2018 NFL Draft.

Incognito added more fuel to the fire on Tuesday morning, tweeting "I'm done" to the NFLPA. Incognito said he approached Ngakoue at the Pro Bowl and apologized. Martin's post showed a shotgun and specifically mentioned Incognito, former teammate Mike Pouncey as well as a private Los Angeles prep school Martin once attended.

Center Eric Wood retired earlier this offseason after an end-of-season physical revealed a neck injury.
