Russian Federation warns against snap judgments on alleged Syria chemical attack

A USA official says the United States is examining "how best to deal with" Syria's upcoming presidency of the U.N.'s top forum on disarmament in the wake of an alleged chemical weapons attack in the war-battered country.
US PresidentDonald Trumpsaid today he will decide on military action in Syria within hours, as Washington readied its response to a "heinous attack on innocent Syrians with banned chemical weapons".
But US Ambassador Nikki Haley said the "world must see justice done".
Russia's envoy to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, has reiterated that Russian Federation will support a thorough investigation into the alleged use of chemical weapons in the rebel-held town of Douma over the weekend.
"History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter and complete failure to protect the people of Syria", Haley added.
The crisis was due to be discussed later on Monday at an urgent UN Security Council meeting, while the United States also circulated a draft resolution for a new independent inquiry of chemical weapons attacks in Syria.
Trump told his cabinet colleagues that "atrocious and horrible" attacks like these could not be allowed to happen.
"We re going to make a decision tonight or very shortly thereafter", he said.
