Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21st.

Aside from congratulating Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot has taken to his own Twitter account to share a special code so that players can view the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy trailer directly from within Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy. The trilogy will also sport analogue stick movement, a "smooth" camera and recreated cinematics.

Fans of the series have been itching for a new Spyro adventure, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy should scratch that itch for long-time players as it follows in the remaster footsteps of the Crash Bandicoot series.

Ultimately, we were also able to leverage numerous original assets such as level models, level collision, animated objects, character models, music, game text, and game sounds. Because when there's a realm that needs saving, there's only one dragon to call!

While fans may have loved playing Spyro back in the day, revisiting the classic game can be a bit of a chore with the clunky and dated controls. While that all made the gameplay tons of fun, the fact that you were a charismatic dragon, interacting with magical friends and enemies, made it even more memorable.

After leaking last night, Activision has finally confirmed that Spyro will return for a new generation of gaming this September.

Spyro's original voice actor, Tom Kenny, will also be reprising his role in the game.

Each level in Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be mapped faithfully from the originals.

Spyro first graced the PlayStation back in 1998, with the console also getting two sequels, all from developer Insomniac Games. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will actually arrive on both PS4 and Xbox One. Returned and remastered Orb Challenges, mini-games and more make this an epic trilogy for the diehard Spyro-maniacs! If the reports are to be believed, this means Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!

The trilogy is being worked on by none other than Toys for Bob, who worked on the Skylanders' series.
