Overwatch King's Row Uprising: Will Blackwatch have a mission?

It looks like it'll be Blackwatch's turn to take center stage, in an event that takes place before last year's Uprising.

The Uprising event needs to delve into the motives behind Blackwatch, which will subsequently give information on Talon's motives.

While Overwatch has repeated events before (such as Halloween Terror, Winter Wonderland, and the Lunar New Year) they've always added new things that changed how the event was played out the year before.

Since its debut, Overwatch has brought players back into the fold regularly through a series of limited time events, and now the Overwatch Uprising event will seemingly make its way back into the game in time for spring.

Blizzard Entertainment will launch this year's "Uprising" event on April 20 as "Overwatch" will have to work together to stop Null Sector from destroying Kingsrow. Today that changed, with Blizzard confirming the return of Uprising next month. New cosmetic items such as skins were offered, and players were also allowed to purchase the skins from the previous versions of the events at a discount. This idea being that the event is rebranding to Archives from Uprising, given that Uprising is now the name of an Overwatch League team. In that hunt, a Twitter post by the official Twitter account hints at the return of their infamous Uprising event. Until April 10, however, all we can do is wait and speculate with excitement. Teams finishing in the top four of the Open Division have the opportunity to progress to their region's Contenders Trials, where they can fight for a spot in Contenders, the tier of competition just beneath the Overwatch League itself.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
