Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference begins June 4

Today Apple announced it will host its 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose from June 4 through June 8. However, Apple hasn't been shy about teasing new hardware at the event too, even with its software focus.

Apple has announced the official date for its annual developer conference, WWDC. Apple plans to award up to 350 WWDC Student Scholarships-including a ticket to the conference plus a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program-to "talented students and STEM organization members".

WWDC 2018 will be held at the McEnery Convention Center, the same location as a year ago.

Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members have until March 22nd to register through the WWDC website for a chance to buy tickets.


Students are an integral part of the Apple developer community.

As for what to expect from Apple at WWDC? The McEnery Convention Center will be home to the world's most creative developer community, who come together every year to share unique perspectives and learn about the future of Apple's breakthrough products and services. Tickets will be issued randomly by March 23rd.

Apple will also once again be offering WWDC Student Scholarships, providing eligible students with the a complimentary ticket and lodging at the conference.
