  • 9 Reasons You Shouldn't Buy or Upgrade to the Galaxy S9 now

However that may all be set to change after usually-reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a report to say that now likely won't happen due to "technological difficulties". Read on for more information.

As far as screen size goes, the Note 9 may well match the 6.3 inches of the Note 8, just a shade bigger than the S9 Plus.

Some analysts expected the Samsung Galaxy S9 series to record higher pre-orders by at least 10-15% compared to the last year's model.

However, one change we're nearly certain to see is with the fingerprint sensor. Microsoft is selling both a Samsung Galaxy S9 ($720) and the S9 Plus ($840) in its online store. Given how the Galaxy S9 was more of a laid-back, incremental improvement, many will perhaps be interested to see if the Galaxy Note 9 will shake up things like its predecessors have. What could change, however is the RAM on board. Plus, knowing I had the option to add extra storage by purchasing a microSD card, many of which cost less than $100 depending on the size, eased any anxiety I might have about running out of space. The Note has been said to apply an under-display sensor which is something Samsung wasn't' able to do on the S9. Unfortunately, Samsung probably isn't jumping on that bandwagon just yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. According to Samsung's mobile chief DJ Koh, however, it's on the way. It would be a bit of a shame if Samsung is unable to deliver an in-display fingerprint scanner for the Note 9, considering Vivo has already managed to do it with the X20 Plus UD. Samsung has said its goal is to make Bixby "ubiquitous".

The Note 9 could bring an even better S Pen. Then new rumors suggested otherwise.

The phone comes with a rear camera with 16MP and it bears the record of being Samsung's first smartphone to feature dual-cameras on the front with a combination of 16MP and 8MP. Instead, it will introduce new products and technologies when they are ready. Samsung is likely to use the Note 9 to debut some next-gen camera tech as well. They're all equipped with powerful processors, great displays, and excellent cameras.

Samsung may or may not choose to implement the sensor in 2019.
