We'll bring you live photos of the 488 Pista from Ferrari's stand at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6. Incidentally, the 488 Pista's engine is now the most powerful V-8 that Ferrari has ever produced. To match its rival from Britain, the Pista has been subjected to Ferrari's biggest jump yet between standard coupe and special model.

This additional level of control further fine-tunes the Ferrari 488 Pista's performance through, and powering out of, corners making the car's handling even more effortless, intuitive and predictable. The Pista gets a 709bhp engine derived from the 488 Challenge racecar, and will also feature newly revised bodywork working towards maximising downforce and reduce drag. The new Pista (Italian for "track") has shaved off considerable amount of fat - 90 kilograms (198 pounds), its dry weight tipping the scales at a mere 1,280 kg (2,822 lbs), when all optional lightweight elements have been installed. 0-62 miles per hour comes in 2.85 seconds, while 0-124 miles per hour is a mere 7.6 seconds.

It's new, it's called the 4XX Siracusa Spider, and it's also a mind-boggling example of how to ruin a flawlessly drawn Ferrari like the 488 Spider. It is claimed to do zero to 100 kmph in just 2.85 seconds and can run to 200 kmph in a highly impressive 7.6 seconds.

"Pista" means, simply, "Track", and the moniker is entirely apt as it's where the 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista will truly thrive. Not only do these components make the Ferrari 488 Pista look suitably sinister, they also help increase the downforce by 20 percent compared to the 488 GTB.

The front F1-inspired S-Duct and the front diffusers serve their function very well. A blown rear spoiler with a "suspended" appearance has been reshaped and made longer and higher for increased performance.

Keeping all this power in check will be the latest version of Ferrari's Slideslip Angle Control system, which uses a vast suite of technology including an electronic differential, multi-stage traction control and electronic dampers, to ensure that drivers of varying abilities can still exploit 182bhp per litre.

The electronics have been tweaked too, with "Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer" arriving to adjust brake pressure at the calipers, resulting in extra pace and predictability.
