Donald Trump Admits He Is No Feminist, Insists He Is for "Everyone"

  • Donald Trump's interview with Piers Morgan was recorded last Thursday while the U.S. president was in Davos Switzerland for the World Economic Forum

Donald Trump has sensationally apologised for re-tweeting Islamophobic tweets from far-right political organisation Britain First, claiming he didn't know who the group was. "I wouldn't say I am a feminist, I am for women, I am for men I am for everyone.women are doing great and I am happy about that".

In an interview on the talk show Good Morning Britain, Trump has said he "knew nothing" about the person who had first tweeted the videos.

Morgan said Trump had been on a "charm offensive" toward Britain at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, where the president's arrival was "like Mick Jagger had arrived".

According to Morgan's tweet this is exactly what Trump said in his interview after he was asked if he were a feminist.

"If you're telling me these are awful people, disgusting racist people, I would certainly apologize if you'd like me to do that".

DT: "You're telling me about these people, because I know nothing about these people".

'I think they want to be safe at home, in many different respects'. I get so much fan mail from people in your country.

Trump sparked outrage in Britain in November when he retweeted, in quick succession, three anti-Muslim videos posted by Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First who was in 2016 convicted of religiously aggravated harassment of a Muslim woman.

President Trump won't call himself a feminist - but only because he wants everyone to do well.

"We get tremendous support from people in the United Kingdom".

After the White House leader claimed that he "wouldn't say" he is a feminist, social media users took to Twitter to throw a lot of shade. Perhaps it was a big story in Britain. but in the United States it wasn't a big story.

"Here's what fair, if you're telling me that these are frightful, racist people, I would certainly apologize if you'd like me to do that".

In the television interview Friday from Davos, Morgan asked Trump what he thought about opposition to his visit by the likes of Khan and Corbyn.

Other people chimed in to rationalize that Trump saying "I'm for everyone" did actually align with the ideas of feminism, even though his track record has proven otherwise.

Millions of demonstrators - including multiple celebrities - participated in Women's Marches across the world on January 20, the one-year anniversary of Trump's inauguration.
