  • You Will Soon Be Able To See Snapchat Stories On The Web

So angry are numerous users that some of them resorted to contacting Snapchat support on Twitter to express their frustration at the new design.

Snapchat users will soon be able to share Stories outside the app to Facebook and Twitter in an effort to spark growth on the social media app. Snap says that, similar to the situation on mobile, Our Stories will be available on the web for up to 30 days before disappearing.

Anyone who receives the link but does not use Snapchat will then be able to see the story posted on the Story Player on Snapchat.com.

Instead, three types of stories will be available to share outside of the app: Official Stories, Our Stories and Search Stories.

As of today, anyone using the redesigned version of Snapchat (launched November 2017) can use the new sharing feature.

The update also means that journalists will be able to embed Snapchat Stories in articles, so you're probably going to see a lot more snap-laden listicles going forward.

The enigmatic messaging service will now let users share certain Snapchat content on third-party sites and blogs.

Earlier this month, Snap said it would partner with Fox Sports to showcase stories with matchday highlights on the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament to be hosted in Russian Federation later this year.

Snapchat is an app that I've been trying to avoid for some time, but it looks like that quest will soon be much more hard. That update started rolling out at the beginning of the year, but is yet to reach all users.

For now, the update is only available to users with the Snapchat redesign, currently only live in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom. If a Snapchatter has an Official Story, their name will appear under an Official Stories header when you search for them in the Add Friends screen.

Founded in 2011, Snapchat has grown to become one of the world's most popular social media apps - particularly among teenage social media users. Better take care with those stories from now on people, make sure they're not set to public before you get caught doing something you'll regret forever.

Snapchat's parent company, Snap Inc., says the new feature was introduced partly in the hope of showing non-Snapchat users what the app can do. "Search Stories are algorithmically generated so you can find Stories on just about anything on Snapchat".
