  • Selim Esen left and Andrew Kinsman have been missing since last year

In August, Toronto police voiced concerns that the disappearance of Esen and Kinsman from the city's gay village could be linked to three other men who have not been seen for more than five years.

Police have said they are also looking into another investigation dubbed "Project Houston" which is looking into the disappearances of three other men in the area of the Gay Village since 2010 but have said in the past the two probes are not connected.

'He is self-employed as a landscaper, using the company name Artistic Design, and he lives in the Thorncliffe Park area.

"We also believe he is responsible for the deaths of men we have not yet identified", Idsinga said.

Toronto police said they believe the two men may not be McArthur's only victims, but refused to elaborate further.

It's believed that McArthur and Kinsman had a sexual relationship for some time, but it's unclear what his relationship with Esen might have been, Idsinga said.

Investigators look for clues at the rear of accused serial killer Bruce McArthur's 20-acre property north of Madoc.

Police say they've charged 66-year-old Bruce McArthur with two counts of first-degree murder in the mysterious disappearances of Selim Esen and Andrew Kinsman - two men who went missing from Toronto's gay village last year.

The bodies of Kinsman and Selim have not been found, but Det. "I can be a bit shy until I get to know you, but am a romantic at heart". "But I never saw any police", he said. Sources told the Toronto Sun police are planning to bring in a backhoe and other heavy equipment in their search for victims.on Friday January 19, 2018.

Detective Sergeant Michael Richmond noted in the press release that while "some members of the community and media have made a connection between the disappearance of Mr. Kinsman and that of 11 other males", that line of inquiry was factually incorrect and "quite misleading".

Irvine said McArthur was relatively new to the area and had just moved there at the end of spring or beginning of summer.

"I think it's important that they understand that when a community speaks up and says "We think that something is going on here" - listen". "He would be friendly enough to wave, but he was always busy".

He declined to specify how McArthur had met the two men.

But King suggested the community felt abandoned by police, that they were more concerned about photo ops than actually "looking after our community and making sure that we're safe".

McArthur's Facebook profile offers other clues about his life; for example, he often posted recipes, images of animals, and trending videos. As you go around the community you see the posters for the missing.

However, Global News has learned that McArthur was under police investigation for some time.

Investigators seized four properties in Toronto and one in Madoc, Ont., about 220 kilometres away, in connection with the investigation.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
