"Our new app will make it easier for companies to connect with customers, and more convenient for our 1.3 billion users to chat with businesses that matter to them", the company said. It's appropriately dubbed WhatsApp Business and is available on Android in select markets including the US, UK, Indonesia, Italy, and Mexico, ahead of a worldwide rollout.

According to the company's blog, the application will roll out for most countries in the coming weeks.

Instant messaging service WhatsApp has officially launched WhatsApp Business, a separate app that small businesses can use to connect with their customers. Even though the consumer version of WhatsApp is already used by several businesses in markets like Brazil and India, the company is beginning the WhatsApp Business roll-out with Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, UK and U.S. markets. Now, the long-awaited official WhatsApp Business is finally being rolled out in global regions. WhatsApp Business changes the way we communicate with our customers, especially with features like quick replies which make our WhatsApp experience easier.

WhatsApp aimed the people who are running small businesses in this great move to generate good revenue in return for Advanced Communication Tools.

Facebook has launched WhatsApp Business, as a free to download Android app.

WhatsApp Web - Send and receive messages with WhatsApp Business on your desktop. The application is not yet available for download on the Indian Play Store. For now, the WhatsApp Business App is available for free. Business can provide their business description, email or store addresses, and website to show on the profile. There's been no confirmation of whether or not an iOS version of the app is being produced. Business accounts can also configure default, greeting messages for the sake of introductions as well as away messages to let customers know that they are busy. Even so, there might be a rise in annoying messages from random businesses in the future and there's not much the company can do to stop that.

The business accounts will be clearly identifiable, so the consumers know that they are interacting with a business account. They will have all the existing features like blocking any number including the businesses, and report the spam.
