President Donald Trump reportedly told associates earlier this year that he was thinking about withdrawing Neil Gorsuch's nomination to the U.'S.

"A story in the @washingtonpost that I was close to "rescinding" the nomination of Justice Gorsuch prior to confirmation is FAKE NEWS", Trump tweeted.

Trump was upset following reports that Gorsuch had told a Democratic senator that he found Trump's attacks on the judiciary "disheartening" and "demoralizing," unnamed sources told the Washington Post.

Trump has repeatedly touted Gorsuch's confirmation to the Supreme Court as one of his most important achievements since taking office.

Trump told aides he felt Gorsuch had been insufficiently grateful, but a personal letter Gorsuch penned to the President thanking him for mentioning him during a joint address to Congress and calling it "magnificent" appeared to assuage those concerns. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) in a meeting that he believed Trump's attacks on the judicial system were "disheartening" and "demoralizing". The White House denied that Trump ever seriously considered withdrawing the Gorsuch appointment. On the other hand, the idea that we have three branches of government and Supreme Court justices don't work for the president is something they go over in grade school.

Gorsuch's comments, on which he declined to elaborate publicly, were likely part of a bid to prove his autonomy from the White House.

The commander-in-chief became upset and talked about rescinding the nomination of Neil Gorsuch after he met with Connecticut Democrat Sen. Trump did not receive it until March 10, suggesting a White House in utter disarray.

The Senate later confirmed Gorsuch on a vote of 54 to 45.

"My young little girls were cheering the TV!" he included. The president called one a "so-called" judge, and described an appeals court panel as "disgraceful". "I see daily their love of country and our Constitution, and know it is a tribute to you and your leadership for policy is always about personnel".
