  • Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, iterative upgrades, will make a cameo at CES

The area that will house the rear camera on the S9 (and dual cameras on the S9+) and the fingerprint sensor will be arranged vertically this time around, with the scanner on the bottom, so it definitely looks like Samsung's been listening to user feedback regarding the odd placement of the biometric sensor in this year's models. The page, however, was more than enough reason for observers to believe that the Galaxy X is indeed true, and will likely come out sometime next year.

A well-known source for Samsung leaks has released some information on Weibo that we could be getting a little S9.

Samsung might be revealing the S9 and S9 Plus during CES 2018

Whether you personally love or hate Samsung's "Infinity Display" approach to the whole smartphone bezel-slaying concept, numbers don't lie, and right now, they seem to tell the story of two very successful high-end mobile devices with razor-thin screen borders.

Smartphones aren't cheap. A good phone from Samsung or Apple, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel 2 or the Apple iPhone 8 will set you back hundreds of dollars and a hefty contract. So we can expect a later release date or perhaps it will debut at the MWC 2018. The new handsets will boast 10nm chipsets, which we assume are going to be either Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 or a new Exynos part, depending on market. Its smaller sibling will make do with 4GB of RAM and a single camera at the back. Other expected common features include 64 GB of storage space, 3.5mm headset jacks, and AKG stereo speakers. While the S8 and S8+ differ only when it comes to size, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ may also bring a few different features. A new DeX docking station is reportedly in the works as well, allowing the phone to serve as a touchpad or virtual keyboard.
