  • Trader Joe's recalled several pacakged salads after a supplier said there may be shards of glass or hard plastic in them

Three poultry products sold at Trader Joe's stores are being recalled because they may contain hard silica and glass fragments, according to the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

-10.25-oz.Trader joe's turkey cranberry apple salad turkey breast meat with sweet dried cranberries, tangy green apples, pecans and sage. All the products have the use by dates of November 10-21st.

It also applies to turkey cranberry salads sold in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The good news is that all of the potentially unsafe products have already been removed from stores, so no future customers should be at risk.

If you purchased one of those salads with that inspection code in one of those states, Trader Joe's is telling customers to throw them away or return them to a retail location for a full refund.

If you purchased any of these fresh salads with the affected codes, please do not eat it.

Earlier this week, Trader Joe's recalled two other products ― tahini sauce and cilantro and chive yogurt dip ― over worries they could be contaminated with the bacteria listeria.
