"Yesterday, you have witnessed the impudence at North Atlantic Treaty Organisation exercises in Norway".

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has apologised to Turkey after the country's leaders were allegedly depicted as "enemies" in a joint military exercise.

He said they expect a satisfactory statement from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation officials regarding the incident. It is now led by Major General Andrzej Reudowicz of Poland. Following the scandal, both North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and Norway offered their apologies for the incident, saying that the message did not reflect their views.

Turkey has also been at loggerheads with another North Atlantic Treaty Organisation member state, Germany. "Turkey is an important ally in North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, and we value our good cooperation", Bakke-Jensen said in a statement.
