  • NBA Rumors: Suns Trading Eric Bledsoe To Bucks For Greg Monroe, First-Rounder

It appears that Eric Bledsoe has gotten his wish. The Phoenix Suns get a chance to speed up their rebuilding project.

However, Bledsoe has missed large chunks of four seasons with injuries. He had been averaging 15.7 points per game, second behind Devin Booker, and was the team's on-court leader.

The Suns are finalising a trade to send Bledsoe to the Bucks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe.

Bledsoe was fined $10,000 by the National Basketball Association for that tweet, McDonough told AZCentral.com on Sunday.

The Bucks, 4-5, will take on the Cavs in Cleveland tonight before heading to San Antonio for a matchup with the Spurs on Friday night.

Bledsoe would join a Bucks backcourt with 2016 Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, Matthew Dellavedova and Jason Terry.

Bledsoe averaged more than 20.0 points and 6.0 assists per game in each of the last two seasons with the Suns, including career highs in points (21.1) and assists (6.3) per game last season.

In his three-year tenure with tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks, Monroe has averaged 13.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 165 games. Phoenix will receive Greg Monroe, a first-round pick and a second-round pick in return, according to Wojnarowski and Lowe. Monroe was attractive in large part because he is an expiring contract.

Phoenix also has the need to create an open roster spot if they hope to make Mike James their starting point guard for the rest of the season, as he is now on a two-way contract and can only spend 45 days with his commanding National Basketball Association team before going back to the G League.
