According to Local 10, Miami-Dade Metro Police received the video shortly after Saturday's incident, and was in the process of investigating.

The woman, who was at the stadium to watch Miami's victory over Virginia Tech, appeared to have been knocked out following the officer's punch. Video footage shows that the officer immediately retaliated, punching Freitas square in the face.

After she fails to do so, the policeman in question swerves around and delivers a powerful punch to the woman's face.

The 30-second video has been viewed thousands of times on social media since it was posted Saturday.

"After responding to a disturbance, the person in the video was being removed from the event by our officers for being disorderly". Police did not release the officer's full name. She was subsequently arrested for Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer and Disorderly Conduct/Breach of the peace.

Officers responded to the scene at the Tuscany Place Apartments at 25430 SW 137th Avenue and found the body of a girl believed to be between 3 and 8 years old and African-American, Miami-Dade Police officials said.

According to an arrest report, Farrington was at home with her two children on Halloween when she became upset because Tania talked back to her. The Pembroke Pines woman, a registered nurse, bonded out Sunday morning.

"Supervisory personnel are aware of the video, and are reviewing the incident to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures".

They arrived to find Freitas arguing with other fans and using loud profanity.

The University of Miami has not issued a statement about the video.
