  • OnePlus 5T spotted on GFXBench, set to launch in New York

The company doesn't normally conduct big launch events so we can't expect that for the OnePlus 5T.

As reported by Business Today, OnePlus top executive Pete Lau revealed the impending launch of the OnePlus 5T.

"In terms of specs, we expect a phone which utilises nearly the full front of the device in an 18:9 aspect ratio with rumours pointing to a 6" sized display.

The excitement for the OnePlus 5T is building but the all important question for us, is whether the phone will be arriving in Australia.

The OnePlus 5T is also expected to receive an upgrade to its dual camera setup.

OnePlus didn't confirm any details in this latest blog post, but it teases new features and improvements for the upcoming reveal.

Credit: OnePlus-Shop.NLInternally, the new phone is expected to also receive Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor according to Techie State, as well as 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as standard. However, the front camera will get a bump to 20MP.

OnePlus tweeted this image yesterday which hints that the upcoming 5T will be launched in New York City.

OnePlus on Monday confirmed that the wait to find out what's in store won't be much longer at all. The grand unveiling of the OnePlus 5T will take place in Brooklyn on November 16 at 11 AM local time (4PM GMT).

For those unable to attend, the launch will stream live on OnePlus' website, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook on the 16th. It's not that hard to ascertain from that picture that it's headed to NY. But that won't keep us from wanting to get closer to our fans in a more personal way. So, that being said, chances are, OnePlus 5T may launch in New York City first.
