It added that allegations of Israeli involvement and assistance to global jihadi elements in the fighting on the Golan Heights are "groundless".

The village of Hader is populated by members of the Druze, a minority religious sect present in Syria, Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Lebanon.

"In recent hours we witness the intensifying of the fighting at the area of the Druze village of Hader in the Syrian part of the Golan Heights", IDF (Israel Defense Force) spokesperson Ronen Manelis said in a statement, as quoted by The Jerusalem Post. Earlier on Friday a auto bomb exploded on the town's outskirts, killing nine people, according to Syrian state media, which also reported clashes in the area.

Hader, a town just inside Syrian territory, is reportedly being targeted by the Nusra Front, formally known as Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.

In Syria, nine people were killed and twenty three others injured in a suicide vehicle bomb explosion at Hader village at the Golan Heights, today.

Several dozens of them cut the border fence and crossed over in a bid to reach Khadr and defend it before they were apprehended and brought back by Israeli troops.

After the suicide bombing on Friday morning, the IDF promised to "support the [Hader] village residents and work to prevent any harm or the occupation of the village, out of a commitment to the Druze population".

Israeli soldiers close a road near the border in the Golan Heights in order to prevent Druze residents from crossing into Syria after a suicide bombing in the Druze Syrian village of Hader on November 3, 2017.

Israel has been launching airstrikes against various targets in Syria, usually saying it is either targeting "Hezbollah infrastructure" or responding to "stray projectiles" flying into Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights. They were assisted by units of the Syrian army.

The Wall Street Journal said in the same month that Israel had been providing Takfiri terrorists in Syria's Golan Heights with a steady flow of funds and medical supplies.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated from London that Israel will continue to "guard our borders and to cherish our sympathy toward our Druze brothers". Such "red lines" include the violation of Israeli sovereignty through deliberate or accidental attacks, Iranian-backed militias taking positions on the Golan border, and attempts to transfer advanced weapons to Hezbollah.
