Having thrown away two points after being two goals to the good against basement side Crystal Palace last weekend, West Ham United welcome sixth-placed Liverpool to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"I decided after just one training session to bring Sadio in from the beginning", revealed Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. "Sadio is a naturally fit player.he is a little machine".

Bilic sent on former Liverpool forward Andy Carroll after the interval and the switch briefly energised the hosts, who got one back in the 55th minute. The home side demonstrated they had learned from their first-half mistakes when Winston Reid prevented a carbon copy of Liverpool's opener by cynically hacking down Mane on the break in the opening period of the second half, the ultimate "taking one for the team" challenge.

Salah flicked a clearance into Mane's path, releasing the Senegal winger into space before he returned the ball to Salah on the edge of the penalty area to finish calmly past goalkeeper Joe Hart. Matip tapped into an empty net after Hart initially prevented an own goal with a fine save. It was simply woeful defending and summed up yet another miserable night for West Ham at the London Stadium.

West Ham barely had time to process what had happened, before inexplicably conceding another.

Firmino, though, was cruelly denied his fifth assist of the campaign, with Hart's initial intervention meaning there was no official credit given to him for Oxlade-Chamberlain's goal.

Salah completed the rout 15 minutes from the end, receiving the ball from Mane before driving a powerful effort across goal into the bottom corner.

West Ham came close to making it 3-2 in the 62nd minute from a free-kick from the left by Lanzini, but Javier Hernandez's flicked header went inches off target.

"I feel like I'm getting there and it is important that every time I get an opportunity then I have to show what I can do and keep improving".

Bilic has been under pressure at West Ham for some time and the boss concedes talks with the chairman have been scheduled.

Asked if he still has the club's backing, Bilic said: "It's hard for me to talk about that now".

The Hammers dropped to 17th, with just a point separating them from the relegation zone.
