They are now in third place at 3-4 in the AFC South and seemed to be doing better.

Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage said there are things Deshaun Watson can do that he won't be able to replace as he enters the starting lineup after the rookie suffered a torn ACL in practice Thursday.

Watson, the 12th overall pick in this year's draft out of Clemson, has been a breakout player for the Texans (3-4) this season and was a leading candidate for the rookie of the year award. "He started all 30 games the last two years here", Swinney said. Nearly immediately the Texans signed Matt McGloin a free agent QB who was coached at Penn State by Bill O'Brien.

In arguably the best game of the National Football League season, Watson passed for 402 yards and four touchdowns on Sunday in the Texans' 41-38 loss at Seattle. He's only completed 58.1 percent of his passes along with six touchdowns, eight touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 72.8 during his career. He passed for 402 yards and four touchdowns in the Texans' 41-38 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in one of the most exciting games of the season.

Watson previously tore his ACL during his freshman season at Clemson.

Whats next for the Texans?

No word yet on who the Texans will target to back-up Savage, or if the team will look to sign a new starter.

Recovering from a season-ending ankle injury of his own, Beckham penned a lengthy and emotion text to Watson, which was first made public by ESPN's Josina Anderson.
