They reportedly purchased a marriage licence from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office on 2 October.

According to their relationship timeline, Momoa and Bonet met through a mutual friend in 2015. At the time, the nice kid from Hawaii was not yet celibate, because he frequented since 1999, the actress Simmone MacKinnon, her partner in the series baywatch in which he had made his debut as an actor.
