EA released the story trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II today. While many fans are looking forward to the multi-player aspect of Battlefront II, single-player still has a place in many gamers hearts, so it's nice to get a glimpse into what it's going to be like playing Iden. Much of the trailer shows what every Star Wars fans want to see in a game. The video game also ties in with "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", which will be in theaters this December.

Unlike EA's 2015 Battlefront reboot, its sequel will feature a full-fledged campaign mode set in the 30 years between the destruction of Death Star II and through the rise of the First Order.

At the end, there are also some nods to The Force Awakens in the form of Maz Kanata and Takodana, where Rey meets her and gets her hands on Luke's Lightsaber. Though the shooter still retains a heavy multiplayer focus, EA has pushed its single-player mode to the forefront of its presentation, so there are high hopes that it will meet expectations.

A little bit of background info setting up the story is available at the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 website. The slow, steady tension of the scene runs contrary to the often bombastic, spectacular battles that Star Wars is known for. With Battlefront II launching for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in November, if a Switch version does happen we could expect it to launch after that date.
