She apologised to the Love Island stars, saying: "I wiped them out and they had to go see paramedics after".

The reality TV star was present at the ceremony on Sunday afternoon to present the award for Best TV show, which was awarded to Love Island.

However, Gemma claims she wasn't fully briefed and wasn't even aware that people would be coming up onto the stage from below.

The Towie stalwart has hinted that she's "got to consult a lawyer" after that moment, which saw her announcing Love Island as the victor of Best TV show, only to fall through a trap door which had opened to bring members of the cast on stage.

But behind the scenes it's no laughing matter as the angry TOWIE star has revealed she will consult a lawyer and look into SUING the BBC for alleged negligence.

A spokesperson for Radio 1 has said that Collins did "receive a full briefing before going on stage".

A doctor examined Gemma after the fall and warned her that her injuries could get worse.

She told The Sun: 'I'm in total shock. It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale. The BBC, they've not been in touch with any compensation or anything - or even an apology. I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it.

Fans were quick to console the reality television star and fashion boutique owner, with one person telling her: "So glad ok and, like Madonna, you were such a Trooper and dealt with it very professionally". Love that you've laughed it off hope you didn't get hurt! "Best and worse moment for me".

"They were screaming, 'Get her out, get her out, her legs are going to be crushed, get her up'".

Gemma got a helping hand to get her back on her feet. "When I tell you I'm Bridget Jones in an Essex girl it's finally confirmed".

"Oh my god", she said.

Get well soon, Gem!
