Samsung launches the entry-level Galaxy J2 2017 with 4G

While this year the Galaxy A series had regular Samsung designs, it appears that in 2018 we will some new looks. The device has been listed on the official website of the brand sans the price.

The Galaxy J2 2017 Edition, being touted to come with Smart Manager for automatic memory management and Ultra Saving Mode, features a 4.7-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Thankfully, the storage is expandable by a Micro SD card up to 128GB.

As for optics, the device is equipped with a 5MP rear autofocus camera with flash, as well as a 2MP front camera. When this mode is on, the background apps including WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and others do not use your mobile data and data will only be used for the app you are now using. By launching the Galaxy J2 (2017) Samsung is basically trying to target the budget phone category after announcing a range of premium phones including the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and also the Galaxy Note 8. For selfies and video calling, the Galaxy J2 (2017) gets a 2- megapixel shooter on the front.

Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition measures 136.5 x 69 x 8.4 mm and it weigh 130 grams. Available color options include black and gold. The dual-SIM handset also supports USB OTG (on-the-go), which is a rarity in this segment. The phone is launched under the budget category and comes with a price tag of Rs 7,350.
