When reached by ABC News, Campos said he was fine.

Investigators are hoping the Paddock's girlfriend Marilou Danley can offer up some hints as to why he did it.

Paddock did not leave a suicide note and cameras found in the room that he was shooting from were reportedly not running at the time of his attack.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMDP) and FBI Friday announced a new campaign to retrieve key information related to the mass shooting on Sunday as no evidence has shown the shooter's motive.

Janette Henry says Ms Danley was her stepmother 30 years ago after she married Ms Henry's father in Australia. Malia Obama was one of the people in attendance at the festival this year.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, of the Las Vegas Police, "More than 100 investigators have spent the last 72 hours combing through the life of 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, to produce a profile of someone I will call disturbed and risky". It has been determined that the attack was "obviously premeditated" and "meticulously planned".

Baffled police and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, still lacking a clear motive for the Las Vegas massacre of 58 people by a lone gunman five days ago, have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that might help solve the mystery.

In the months before he carried out the deadliest mass shooting in US history, Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock had also booked hotel rooms overlooking other outdoor concert venues, including the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago in August, which drew 400,000 music lovers, among them Malia Obama.

Stephen Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, told FBI. investigators he had mental health issues and would sometimes lie in bed crying out, "Oh, my God!"

When the police entered his room, Paddock was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

David Newton described his first impressions of Paddock's hotel room as they moved in amid the flashing lights of a fire alarm set off by an explosive, which had been used to blow through the door.

"His bravery was unbelievable because he remained with our officers, providing them the key pass to access the door and continued to help them clear rooms until our officers demanded he seek medical attention", said Lombardo.
