Considering that Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are ready to be unveiled during next month, Google is trying to cut off its ties with the Nexus brand. Even though the Google is expected to add a pair of stereo speakers on the front panel, we are now not sure about the bezel-less 18:9 ratio display panel, as the speaker grills require a little more space to occupy o front panel. Among all of the features mentioned above, Artem also confirms the inclusion of "Squeeze" feature that will launch Google Assistant on the new smartphones. Russakovskii's tweets over the weekend claimed that Google will be relying on software to make this feature possible since both of the new Pixel 2 smartphones are expected to only have a single camera setup on their backs.

The next rumored feature for the Pixel 2 smartphones is what's now being called as "Music Recognition".

Other leaks show that the Pixel 2 will be playing catch up on a number of key features, including a Portrait Mode for its camera app, the removal of the headphone jack and the upgrade to stereo speakers.

Moving on, the rear-facing camera is said to sport a new "Portrait" mode, capable of focusing on a subject, then lightly blurring the background. An Always-On Ambient Diaply mode also has been reported by XDA, which would turn itself into a fiasco by unnecessary power consumption.
