"We anticipated very little changes inside the devices, so the bulk of changes will come with the iPhone X". It officially confirms what we reported a couple of weeks ago, in that the iPhone 8 and X will need to use USB-C to take advantage of fast charging.

While Apple did not explicitly mention this feature during the iPhone 8 and iPhone X's announcements, it was later discovered that both phones will support fast-charging, albeit with a caveat.

According to the document, the iPhone X will have a 2,716 milliamp-hour (mAh) battery and 3GB of RAM.

IHS Markit is in the process of performing an analysis of the iPhone 8, which will explain how the price differential on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus was $120 a year ago, while the iPhone 8 price differential returned to $100.

Smaller battery packs can, at times, deliver less battery life, though that measure also relies upon different hardware and software components that can either help or drain batteries.

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus do offer a lot of improvements over the prior-generation iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Meanwhile, the bill of materials cost for the iPhone 8 is $247.51, which is almost $10 more than the iPhone 7.

With the reveal of the iPhone X, the iPhone became pretty much all-screen (if you discount the "notch") and so the fingerprint sensor had to go somewhere. Apple has spent $31.20 and $27.50 respectively on NAND memory by SanDisk and A11 Bionic processor.

The iPhone X has a screen that sweeps across its entire front and facial recognition technology. The 64GB iPhone 8 is priced at $699, which is $50 more than the 32GB iPhone 7 or the 16GB iPhone 6s that were the cheapest iPhones in previous years. Even though it is the second-largest smartphone maker by market share, it rakes in the most profit out of all of the manufacturers. Within this tier of the iPhone lineup, which used to be reserved for the flagship device, Apple is doing a good job at maintaining the iPhone's margin profile.

It is important to note that the TrueDepth camera is the most unique camera featured on any phones.
