Apple CEO Tim Cook says iPhone AR update is 'a profound day'

It's simple, they want the iPhone X that will provide other features, an incredible screen, good camera and at a price that will be a little over the one for iPhone 8 Plus.

It's in multi-core testing, however, where the iPhone 8 truly stole the spotlight, showing a massive 80% performance improvement over the iPhone 7 when the A11 Bionic's six CPU cores are working together. Being a device that requires important components such as the edge-to-edge OLED display or the camera sensors, the iPhone X might be hard to get until 2018. It's a vision of the smartphone future while the iPhone 8 is more stuck in the present, but just how different is it really?

Ahead of the iPhone 8 release on Friday, Apple's CEO is talking about a broader kind of future - his vision for the country, believing companies should have values just like people do. The bottom and top bezels are still there, unlike the X, where they disappeared completely.

Whereas the iPhone 8 features the venerable home button and Touch ID, Apple's flagship iPhone X features an edgeless display with no home button, and by extension, no Touch ID functionality.

The iPhone 8 meanwhile has a far more compact 4.7-inch 750 x 1334 screen with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch.

All of the new iPhones that Apple will unveil in 2018 are likely to come with Face ID, according to a new report by one of the most knowledgeable analysts in the industry, Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities. However, there are some major differences between the two devices, and people should know about them.

When Trump announced a ban on transgender people serving in the military, Cook fired back, "We are indebted to all who serve".

Panzarino loves the new glass back on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and a few other features including the camera, but, like Baig, says the iPhone 8 is still "living in the shadow of the X". It seems that the new iPhones are fitted with less powerful batteries than the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Particularly since features like Face ID are still unproven as a replacement for Touch ID. If you want something compact or can't justify spending a grand on the phone then the iPhone 8 should make a fine choice, but for a taste of the future the iPhone X is the only option.

The new iPhone also comes with Apple's latest software upgrade, iOS 11. Pre-orders for iPhone X will start from October 27 in 55 countries, including India.
