DeShone Kizer wasn't successful on his first National Football League drive, which ended with a three-and-out that led to a Pittsburgh Steelers touchdown on a blocked punt. The ball bounded into the end zone where it was recovered for a touchdown, the first of the day, in very Browns fashion.

Ben Roethlisberger looks to pass against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on September 10, 2017, in Cleveland, Ohio.

The short video, just less than a minute in length, featured messages from several players, including Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas, quarterback DeShone Kizer, linebackers Jamie Collins and Christian Kirksey, and coach Hue Jackson. The rookie has looked calm in his first regular season action, which is telling considering the big stage he's under at home against a big AFC North rival in the Steelers.

The first half was a clash of defenses for the most part, but then with 45 seconds left in the first quarter, the Steelers took a 14-7 lead on a 4-yard touchdown pass from Roethlisberger to James. The Steelers ranked 16th in the league in passing yards allowed last season and can use Haden's playmaking abilities as they pursue their fourth straight playoff appearance. First-round pick T.J. Watt is the starter at right outside linebacker. The Steelers came at the rookie quarterback in waves and sacked the young signal caller seven times.

The Browns' 2017 season got off to about as rough a start as possible. QB Cody Kessler, who is 0-8 as a starter last season with the Browns a year ago, was inactive.
