On Friday, the president had issued fresh threats of swift and forceful retaliation against nuclear North Korea, declaring the USA military "locked and loaded" and warning that the communist country's leader "will regret it fast" if he takes any action against US territories or allies.

During the phone call, Trump also noted he thinks Guam's tourism will increase "tenfold" in light of the situation. "We encourage everyone to go through their lives and live them like you would do any other day".

"It looks handsome. You know I'm watching".

"If I could tell Trump one thing", she said, "it would be. when dealing with an unstable powder keg, don't be a match".

In response, Calvo said he has "never felt more safe or so confident" with Trump in charge. "So I'm just so thankful, and I'm glad you're holding the helm, sir". "They're not going to make an out of the blue strike against the U.S., Japan, Guam or South Korea because they know that's national suicide", said Daryl Kimball, Executive Director, Arms Control Association.

"It looks like a lovely place", Trump added.

The phone call follows the President's latest tweet in which he wrote the military is "locked and loaded" if North Korea acts "unwisely". Mr Calvo agreed with the President that Guam is "paradise". "But you'll be taken care of". "We've got 95 percent occupancy, and after all this stuff calms down, we're going to have 110 percent occupancy". He doesn't talk so much anymore.

Nothing says "vacation" like the threat of nuclear annihilation, at least according to President Trump.

The threats of possible aggression against Guam - often referred to as the "tip of the spear" - have become a focal point of debate about the presence of United States military forces on the island. "If he does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody has seen before what will happen in North Korea".

Responding to the threats, Trump has threatened North Korea with "fire and fury" as well as tweeting that the United States was "locked and loaded".

"The circumstances are unfortunate, but this is a good opportunity for us to educate the world about Guam and our culture, about where we are and who we are", Josh Tyquiengco, the bureau's marketing director, told the Agence France-Presse.
