The pop music superstar appeared in a Denver court on Tuesday as a jury was finalized. Swift and Mueller have sued one another over the alleged groping incident. He also said it was an assault, not inappropriate touching.

Swift claims Mueller grabbed her on the buttock.

In his lawsuit, Mueller claims he was sacked from his job at a country music station after Taylor's team wrongfully told his boss that Mueller had groped her. Jurors will determine what monetary damages, if any, he is entitled to if Swift is found liable.

His lawyer, Gabriel McFarland, contends that Mueller may have been misidentified after someone else touched Swift.

Mueller has always denied the allegations, however he was sacked from his radio station after Swift's manager complained about the alleged assault.

On 3 June, Mr Mueller met his bosses.

Security is tight at Denver federal court for the start of a civil case pitting Taylor Swift against a former disc jockey she accuses of groping her.

Potential jurors were asked whether they were fans of Swift or Mueller.

Swift did not call police.

Pop star Taylor Swift is "absolutely certain" she was groped by a Colorado radio DJ, a court has heard.

The trial is expected to last nine days, but it is unclear when Swift will take the stand.

"We did not want copycats and one-uppers abounding". "I think this is the tip of the iceberg because women are afraid to complain".

Taylor Swift's counter-lawsuit argues that the case will "serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts".

However, in September 2015, the DJ also sued Taylor because, according to him, it was the singer and her team's fault that he ended up losing his job and he definitely didn't flirt with her.

Britto, who has worked with stars like Mariah Carey, Foxy Brown and Salt-N-Pepa, said that Swift is potentially "fighting this case as a matter of principle and goal rather than advancing a personal agenda". For those who are unfamiliar with the suit, here are the details.

The jury questionnaire also said anyone who is uncomfortable with discussing any instances of inappropriate touching can speak to the judge in private.

"Do you have any opinion of singer Taylor Swift?" jurors were asked.

No one's liberty is at stake in this case, meaning the burden of proof is lower, he said. A claimant must show a preponderance of evidence, rather than prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. Officials expect the jury to be seated and opening statements to begin on Tuesday.

Swift countersued and the two civil complaints were merged for trial.
