Lunar and Solar eclipses happen in pairs, with the lunar eclipse happening within two weeks of a solar eclipse. Since the moon is above the horizon during this eclipse, so with good weather conditions the entire eclipse should be visible with naked eye. One such partial eclipse will take place on August 7-8, the release from Durairaj Gnanamuthu, district science officer, said. "The eclipse may be undetectable unless at least half of the moon enters the penumbra", it said. Duration of the Partial Eclipse - 1h 55m.
