Thursday (June 13) marks the four year anniversary of Cory Monteith's death, but he'll forever be in our hearts - and especially in Lea Michele's. In fact, she has two songs "Hey You" and "If You Say So", which are about him and their relationship.

Holding a black and white picture of herself and Cory, Lea said his loss "feels like yesterday". The actress has three tattoos in honor of Cory. The actor, who struggled with substance abuse through his life, died of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol aged just 31 in 2013. A few months before he died, Monteith entered rehab.

Our thoughts go out to Cory's friends and family today.

Reports have stated that this time of year is always hard for Lea Michele, as it reminds her of the love she lost.

Michele posted a similar message on Twitter, but she chose a different photo.

'This is so handsome makes me cry, ' said one commenter, and another wrote: 'All my heart is with you and Him'.

Michele and her Glee co-stars have an annual tradition of honouring the late Monteith - who was a fan favourite and beloved by the musical show's crew - on the day of his death.

Michele dated her "Glee" co-star before his death in July 2013 from a drug overdose.
